How much does a license cost?

The Compulsory Mechanical Royalty Rate as of January 1, 2002 is $0.0800 per song, per unit manufactured and distributed for up to five minutes (5:00) of playing time. For songs over five minutes, the rate is based upon $0.0155 per minute or fraction thereof. For example:

5:01 to 6:00 = $0.0870 (6 x $0.0145 = $0.0870)
6:01 to 7:00 = $0.1015 (7 x $0.0145 = $0.1015)
7:01 to 8:00 = $0.1160 (8 x $0.0145 = $0.1160)


PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT CAL IV ENTERTAINMENT HAS A MINIMUM LICENSING FEE OF $25.00 PER SONG.
